Ivan Martinez is a visionary community leader grounded in the values of equity, authenticity, and collaborative action. Raised in North Fair Oaks and now serving as Executive Director of the Pal Center, Ivan brings nearly two decades of experience driving community-based solutions that advance wellness, safety, and opportunity for all residents across the Sequoia Healthcare District.

At the Pal Center, Ivan has led a transformation that elevated the organization into a regional hub for holistic youth and family support. Each year, more than 500 families benefit from programs that fuse trauma-informed care, civic empowerment, and culturally responsive services. Under Ivan’s leadership, the Pal Center has become a model for integrating public safety professionals and service providers with grassroots networks to address systemic barriers and improve health equity.

Ivan’s achievements reflect his strategic focus on sustainable impact. He has secured critical funding and designed development initiatives that directly uplift the North Fair Oaks and Redwood City communities—many of which are now being scaled through cross-sector partnerships. As a Sequoia Healthcare District board member, he brings a systems-change lens to the work of equitable healthcare access and community wellness, advocating for policies and investments that reflect the lived realities of residents.
