Ann Wasson serves as the Director of School Health & Wellbeing for the Sequoia Healthcare District, where she leads the Healthy Schools Initiative. This initiative supports the physical, mental and social health of 28,000 students across eight school districts in San Mateo County.

With over 25 years of leadership in social impact, Ann is known for her ability to build high-impact partnerships and align efforts across sectors to improve systems of care for youth and families. She brings deep expertise in strategic program development, stakeholder engagement, and grants administration. Her previous roles include Director of Community Engagement for the Peninsula Health Care District, Director at the Violence Intervention Program at LAC+USC Medical Center, Director of Fiscal Sponsorship Programs & Grants Administration at the Action Council of Monterey County, and Public Affairs Officer for the Los Angeles County Medical Association.

She holds leadership roles in Stanford’s school-based ECHO, San Mateo County Office of Education School Wellness Advisory and United for Youth. She is the past president of Women in Public Affairs and has served on the boards of Junior League, National Charity League, Young & Healthy, and the Monterey Bay chapter of the Christ Child Society.

Ann holds a MS in Clinical Psychology/Industrial-Organizational Psychology and a BS in Exercise Science, both from California State University, Los Angeles, where she graduated magna cum laude and competed on the NCAA Division II swim team. Additionally, she holds a Service-Learning Certification from the California Department of Education.
